Registration and Equivalencies

After you have been accepted in the program, the Study Abroad office will register you for your Fall classes at UM. You will also register in the courses at the host institution, USFQ. EQUIVALENCIES

BIL 525,  Herpetology in the Galapagos, 3 credits

Biology majors:
This course counts as one BIL elective with laboratory towards the major.

Biology minors:
This course counts as one BIL elective towards the minor.

All other majors:
This course counts as one natural science elective (BIL) in the General Education area of Natural World (Natural Science)



Tropical Ecology, 3 credits 

Biology majors:
This course counts as the biology core requirement BIL 330 (Ecology) and BIL 336 (Ecology laboratory) towards the major.

Biology minors:
This course counts as one BIL elective towards the minor.

ECS majors: 
This course counts as the BIL 330 (Ecology) natural science requirement

All other majors:
This course counts as one natural science elective (BIL) in the General Education area of Natural World (Natural Science)


For any non-Biology major 

If you have taken Bil 150/151 and Bil 160/161, the UGalapagos term will fill the requirements for a Biology minor.
